Ivanhoe Traders Association approached Hybrid Expression to redesign and develop their website for the Ivanhoe shopping strip located 10km north-east of Melbourne CBD. The ITA’s aim for the Shop in Ivanhoe brand is to create awareness, increase sales for the retailers and encourage engagement from the general public to build a strong community within Ivanhoe. In our discussion with the client it was evident our solution needed to be effective for both the target audience and businesses and retailers that make up the shopping strip. It was also important for the website to provides access for the internal marketing team to easily update and modify business listings, promotions, events and activities held in the Ivanhoe Shopping district.
We developed a desktop, tablet and mobile friendly website to engage all shoppers and business people on the go. Main events such as The Olivia Newton-John Wellness Walk are showcased predominately on the home page with custom background skins to further promote the event or a complimentary promotion.
In support of local businesses an advanced business directory was developed to present the vast range of Ivanhoe Shopping services available to the Ivanhoe community and general public. Ivanhoe retailers and professional services are able to promote their businesses and encourage users to connect via social media. Stores are also able to extend their reach with the addition of a online shopping category, displaying stores that offer an online shopping experience.
